| Most world-class diving sites are usually formed by either unusual volcanic formations of undersea rock or by unusual limestone (coral) deposits all washed by nutrient rich currents. This portion of the huge country of Indonesia is blessed with all of this! You will see plenty of volcanic action as you explore the numerous sea mounts in the area, with vast schools of jacks, pelagics, mantas, the occasional whale shark and other fascinating members of the blue water community. The gusting currents that surge and swirl through the deep channels between Komodo, Padar and Rinca islands produce such a wild variety of conditions that there is something here for everybody. Great visibility, drift dives, massive cliffs of black basalt, sheer walls and dazzling coral gardens combine to house the most prolific and diverse marine ecosystem on earth! Whether you are ripping along the top of a sea mount on a current dive, poking around in the shallows or visiting the islands on a topside adventure, Komodo is calling. |
